Our contribution
- Microservice Architecture & Scalability: Developed a robust microservice- based architecture using PHP, Symfony, and Docker to handle payment processing. This design ensures scalability, fault tolerance, and independent scaling of microservices for optimized performance across the system
- Bank & POS Integrations: Created a secure framework for integrating Paynetics’ system with multiple banks, supporting diverse currencies and payment methods. Additionally, expanded services to physical retail locations by developing real-time payment solutions for POS systems, allowing merchants to process card-based, mobile wallet, and contactless payments
- Security Enhancements with 3D Secure (3DS): Integrated 3D Secure (3DS) to add an extra layer of security for online transactions, ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS standards. This greatly enhanced trust between merchants and customers, while significantly reducing fraud
Our contribution
- Optimized Communication & Data Processing: Employed RabbitMQ to manage asynchronous communication between microservices, ensuring efficient processing of tasks such as payment validation. Redis was used to cache frequently accessed data, reducing database load, while MySQL was optimized for handling high transaction volumes.
- AWS Services & CI/CD Automation: Leveraged AWS SQS and SNS for managing background tasks and notifications, with AWS CloudWatch providing real-time performance monitoring and alerts. Automated testing, code reviews, and deployments were handled through GitLab Actions, ensuring rapid, continuous updates with minimal downtime.
