AlphaOnline is a longstanding automotive platform that offers services such as car valuation and online auctions for both new and used vehicles. Originally built in vanilla PHP, it has evolved into a robust custom framework developed in-house to meet the changing needs of the automotive market.

- Backend Architecture & Legacy Code Refactoring: Our team modernized the application by transitioning from a monolithic structure to a custom framework tailored to the platform’s requirements. We focused on cleaning up the legacy PHP code, enhancing readability and performance while addressing technical debt for effective scaling.
- Reengineering Key Components: As market demands evolved, we rewrote critical components to leverage modern PHP features and best practices, resulting in improved application stability and performance.
- Infrastructure Management: The platform operates on bare-metal servers with configurations managed through Nginx and Apache. This setup offers complete control but requires meticulous resource management to handle increasing demands effectively.

- Database Optimization: We optimized MySQL queries and employed Redis caching to enhance response times and manage high user volumes, ensuring efficient database performance.
- Testing, Security, and Agile Methodology: Unit testing was integrated with PHPUnit using test-driven development practices to ensure reliability and ease of maintenance. Security best practices were implemented to protect sensitive automotive data, and our Agile project workflow allowed for incremental updates while maintaining platform stability
